Happy Thanksgiving! We are supposed to give thanks in ALL circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18​). But why is this important?   • Obituary For Mary D. Emberton (Jackye Stockton's Mother)

    Mary D. Emberton, age 93, passed away November 21, 2024, at Pleasant Meadow Assisted Living facility in Frankfort, Kentucky, where she lived and was affectionately known as “Shortie”.

    Mary was born May 19, 1931, in Monroe County, Kentucky, to the late Jimmie D. and Mary Alma Smith Reagan. She had one sibling, Andrew Harlin Reagan. Mary married the late Wallace A. Emberton, July 6, 1952. They had three daughters, Jacqueline (Dennis) Stockton, of Frankfort, Kentucky; Joyce Medina (Mike) of Boca Raton, Florida; and the late Janet (Roger) Riddell.

    She is also survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

  • Men’s Bible Study & Breakfast | Saturday, 12/7 @ 8:00 AM

    The Men's Bible Study & Breakfast is hosted at the church building on the 1st Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

  • Men’s Business Meeting | Sunday, 12/8 @ 4:30 PM

    There will be a Men’s Business Meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 4:30 PM. We’ll meet at the church building, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. All male members of the church are encouraged to attend. Childcare will be provided.

  • Women’s Ministry Meeting | Sunday, 12/8 @ 4:30 PM

    There will be a Women’s Ministry Meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 4:30 PM. We’ll meet at the church building, upstairs in the auditorium. Any female member of the Holly Hill is encouraged to attend. Childcare will be provided.

  • Women In The Word Bible Study | Tuesday, 12/10 @ 6:00 PM

    A Bible study group for ladies who want to learn Bible study tools for a deeper relationship with God, hosted and taught by Katie Bell. This class will meet at the church building on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

  • Ladies Ornament Exchange Party | Saturday, 12/14 @ 6:00 PM

    Kellie Jones would like to invite the ladies at Holly Hill to her home on Saturday, December 14th at 6:00 PM for an ornament exchange. Please make sure EVERY ornament is individually wrapped before arriving and bring your favorite holiday party food. We will also sing Christmas carols together and have a great time!   • Packing Christmas Food Boxes | Sunday, 12/15 @ 4:00 PM

    We will be packing Christmas Food Boxes on Sunday, December 15th at 4:00 PM, so anyone wishing to help is welcome to join us at the church. Thank you!

LIMITED-TIME OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Pack-The-Pulpit Event For Christmas Food Boxes

    This month we will be packing the pulpit with food for our Christmas Food Boxes! Our Pack-The-Pulpit event will be Sunday, December 8th. If you or someone you know needs a Christmas Food Box, please contact Mike & Robin Mayes NLT 12/8.

    The items needed are:

    • Canned Green Beans

    • Sugar

    • Kool-Aid Packets

    • Instant Potatoes

    • Muffin Mix

    • Jelly

    • Peanut Butter

    • Saltine Crackers

    • Tomato Soup

    • Chicken Noodle Soup

    • Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip

    • Spam

    • Canned Chicken

    • Canned Corn

  • Westridge Elementary School Backpack Program

    As the church will be doing Pack-The-Pulpit events for Thanksgiving & Christmas Food Boxes, we will not be doing a seperate event for the backpack program. We’ll continue to accept donations and purchase food for the month December, if anyone wishes to donate. Holly Hill will again be providing Weekend/Holiday/School Closure meals for the Westridge kiddos throughout December. We have already ordered protein items and pastas, but still need some of the following items:

LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Tech Team Support

    The Holly Hill Tech Team needs help. We would love to have a few more people trained and available to set up the livestreams and audio equipment. It’s a fairly simple task and you’ll be well trained before being thrown into the seat alone. If you’re interested, see David Jones, Brad Gregory, or Brad Proctor.

  • Youth Activities Planning Committee

    Are you young at heart & looking for a ministry to get involved with at Holly Hill? Look no further! If you’re interested in joining the Youth Activities Planning Committee or seeking additional information, please contact Bruce Blanton or reach out to our office at office@hollyhillcoc.org.

  • Children’s Bible Class Ministry

    If you’d be willing to teach, sub, or help, please see a member of church leadership. We have a wonderful opportunity to teach God’s Word to our children. Let’s make sure they get our very best! Thank you!

  • Women’s Ministry

    If you wish to be involved with our Women’s Ministry or simply seek additional information, contact Vickie Wise today and find out everything you’ll need to get started!

  • Meal Train & Potluck Ministry

    If you would like to sign-up for either the Meal Train or the Potluck and haven’t received an email from Robin Mayes, please contact her by phone (502-330-3361) or email (rdmbears@yahoo.com).

  • Greeting Card Ministry

    Every Sunday there are cards spread out on a table in the auditorium, right in front of the Nursery window, which will be sent out to various church members and guests who need encouragement. You can help serve and encourage by making sure to sign these cards each week. If you know someone who would benefit from recieving a card from the church, please give the name(s) and address to Joyce Best. We will have “Get Well” cards, “Thinking of You” cards, “Praying For You” cards, and “Sympathy” cards. You can also text the information to (502) 593-5865.

  • The Casey Blessing Box

    The Casey’s are collecting items for their Blessing Box to help those in need. Currently, they’re accepting donations of the following:

    • Canned Goods (Fruit & Vegetables)

    • Crackers

    • Cereal

  • Shrinners Children’s Hospital

    Donna White is collecting soda can tabs to donate to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Please leave your donations in the lobby.
