This Sunday's sermon will be part of a new series of sermons we will visit from time to time on spiritual object lessons from things in our world. This Sunday, we'll consider some of the spiritual lessons from a mechanical pocket watch and consider how these help us think about our relationship with God.   • DEADLINE FOR REQUESTING A CHRISTMAS FOOD BOX

    If anyone knows someone that will need a Christmas Food Box please see Mike or Robin Mayes. The deadline will be FRIDAY, 12/6. We have had such a short turnaround from packing the Thanksgiving Boxes and we need to order the hams. PLEASE try to meet this deadline so the family in need will for sure be able to receive a ham.     This month we will be packing the pulpit with food for our Christmas Food Boxes! Our Pack-The-Pulpit event will be this Sunday, 12/8.

    There will be no Life Groups meeting on Sunday, 12/8. We will gather together after worship for the Roach’s Christmas Open House (1:00 - 4:00 PM) and then meet back at the church for the Men’s & Women’s Ministry Meetings at 4:30 PM.

    A Bible study group for ladies who want to learn Bible study tools for a deeper relationship with God, hosted and taught by Katie Bell. This class meets at the church on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

  • LADIES ORNAMENT EXCHANGE PARTY | HOSTED BY KELLIE JONES ON SATURDAY, 12/14 @ 6:00 PM

    Kellie Jones would like to invite the ladies at Holly Hill to her home on Saturday, 12/14 at 6:00 PM for an ornament exchange. Please make sure EVERY ornament is individually wrapped before arriving and bring your favorite holiday party food. We will also sing Christmas carols together and have a great time!   • 2ND ANNUAL BOB TANKERSLEY CHILI COOK-OFF | SUNDAY, 12/29 @ 12:00 PM

    The 2nd Annual Bob Tankersley Chili Cook-off will be Sunday, 12/29 immediately following our worship service, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. David Jones, our 2023 Chili Cook-off winner, will be looking to defend his title, so be sure to bring your absolute best A+ chili for our judges to grade! This will be a great opportunity to share a meal and fellowship with our Holly Hill Family!

    There will be no Life Groups meeting on Sunday, 12/29. We will gather together after worship for the Bob Tankersley Chili Cook-Off.

    Mike & Kim Mundt will be hosting a New Year's Eve Game Night on Tuesday, 12/31 from 6 PM - 10 PM. This event will be held at the church building, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a game and a snack to share. Thanks!

  • THE BACKPACK PROGRAM FOR WESTRIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    As the church will be doing Pack-The-Pulpit events for Thanksgiving & Christmas Food Boxes, we will not be doing a separate event for the backpack program. We’ll continue to accept donations and purchase food for the month December, if anyone wishes to donate. Holly Hill will again be providing Weekend/Holiday/School Closure meals for the Westridge kiddos throughout December. We have already ordered protein items and pastas, but still need some of the following items:

LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITIES:

  • TECH TEAM SUPPORT

    The Holly Hill Tech Team needs help. We would love to have a few more people trained and available to set up the livestreams and audio equipment. It’s a fairly simple task and you’ll be well trained before being thrown into the seat alone. If you’re interested, see David Jones, Brad Gregory, or Brad Proctor.

  • YOUTH ACTIVITIES PLANNING COMMITTEE

  • GREETING CARD MINISTRY

    Every Sunday there are cards spread out on a table in the auditorium, right in front of the nursery window, which will be sent out to various church members and guests who need encouragement. You can help serve and encourage by making sure to sign these cards each week. If you know someone who would benefit from receiving a card from the church, please give the name(s) and address to Joyce Best. We will have “Get Well” cards, “Thinking of You” cards, “Praying For You” cards, and “Sympathy” cards. You can also text the information to (502) 593-5865.

  • THE CASEY BLESSING BOX

    The Casey’s are collecting items for their Blessing Box to help those in need. Currently, they’re accepting donations of the following:

    • Canned Goods (Fruit & Vegetables)

    • Crackers

    • Cereal

  • SHRINNERS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

    Donna White is collecting soda can tabs to donate to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Please leave your donations in the lobby.
