JOY TO THE WORLD

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5, ESV)

MINI DEVOTIONAL

A mini message to take with you this week to help you in your devotion to God.

JOY TO THE WORLD

BY: ELIJAH BELL

***PLEASE CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE***

Is the knowledge of King Jesus coming into the world "joy to the world" for you? Or do you have a different reaction? In Matthew 2:1-16, we see two very different reactions to the knowledge of the birth of King Jesus. This Sunday (12/22/24) we'll look at those two reactions, and the three actions both parties took in response to King Jesus' birth. Study along with us before Sunday and come ready to learn and remember Jesus' birth together as we all strive to allow the knowledge of King Jesus coming into the world to be "Joy To The World"!

We're excited about the new Audio/Video desk being built, but unfortunately, it won't be ready for a few more days. That means our Wednesday evening service this week won't be live streamed, but we'll be back online Sunday. Be sure to thank Mike Mundt, Kim Mundt, Steve Jones, Todd Best, Scott Trent, Brad Gregory, Brad Proctor, & Stefan Rudic for doing a wonderful job!

Here are some pictures from the Ladies Ornament Exchange Party. Please take a moment to thank Kellie Jones for hosting a wonderful event. It looks like everyone had a great time!

  • PRAISE UPDATE ON ETHAN JONES

Words can’t express our gratitude. God is Good and prayers were answered. After about 3 hours, an amazing medical team finished up Ethan’s surgery and Dr Mutchnick gave us the good news. Sarah & I are with him while he’s recovering in the ICU, and we’re looking forward to our next stop on this journey.

  • PRAISE UPDATE ON RAY BOWMAN

The aortic valve I had replaced in 2013 needed to be replaced again, so I checked in to the Gill Heart Institute at UK this morning for a Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure. It took about an hour and a half, I spend the night for observation and barring unforseen circumstances go home tomorrow. I should be back on par by next Friday. Thanks to all those who lifted me up in prayer. God is good!

  • CHRISTMAS FOOD BOXES

Please take time to thank Mike & Robin Mayes for ALL of their hard work in making sure families have food this Christmas.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25: 35-40 (ESV)
