  • INVITATION TO LADIES ORNAMENT EXCHANGE PARTY

  • THANKSGIVING’S MID-WEEK SERVICE

    Due to the holiday season and travel plans, we will be making a change to our mid-week service schedule. For Thanksgiving week, we will have our mid-week service on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:30 PM. We will return to our regular Wednesday night schedule the following week.   • OBITUARY FOR ROGER CAUDILL

    Roger Caudill, age 69, passed away on October 31, 2024. Services will be held at Bluegrass Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kyle Fannin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment and committal service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, Kentucky on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 12:00 pm. – open to all.

    Roger was born in Benham, Kentucky on October 9, 1955, to the late Astor and Euna Mae Caudill. He graduated from Cumberland High School where he led the Cumberland Redskins to many Basketball and Baseball victories. He also completed 2 years of college at Eastern Kentucky University. He was in the USAF and his government civil service career began with US Customs and he retired from US Homeland Security where he was the Deputy Director with Air & Marine Operations. He was a member of Bluegrass Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He also taught Sunday School and he and his wife enjoyed time with the College Students getting them acclimated to college life and being away from home.

    In his spare time, Roger loved playing golf, racquetball, reading, traveling to his Harlan County Mountains, cheering on his beloved UK Wildcats and enjoying his home.

    He is survived by his wife Diane of 40 years, son Derek Caudill – whom he loved more than life, Sisters and Brothers: Jeanette Hiland (Harold – Deceased), Dorothy Abell (Ron), Willard (Darlene), Pat Peyton (Gene – Deceased), Wayne (Sandy), Raymond (Ruth), Glenna Webb (Rick), Theresa Talley, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew.

    He is preceded in death by his father Astor, mother, Euna Mae, sisters, Alvinia Caudill and Geneva Hughes (Freeman – Deceased).

    Roger will be remembered as a Man of God, Loving Father, Unforgettable Brother and he loved Diane, his wife, with all of his heart.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bluegrass Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky, PO Box 1098, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324 earmarked for Project: Rise Up and Build Program which was very close to his heart.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.

  • WESTRIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM

    It is that time of year again! Our service project for the year is the Westridge Elementary School Backpack Program. We are going to pack the pulpit in: October, December, February and April. We need individual servings of food that can be microwaved and easy to open pull top tabs.

    Every Sunday there are cards spread out on a table in the lobby that will be sent out to various church members and guests who need encouragement. You can help serve and encourage by making sure to sign these cards each week. If you know of someone the church should send a card, please give the name(s) and address to Joyce Best. We have “get-well” cards, “thinking of you” cards, “praying for you” cards, and sympathy cards. You can also text the information to (502) 593-5865.

  • THE CASEY’S BLESSING BOX

    The Casey’s are collecting items for their Blessing Box to help those in need. Currently, they’re accepting donations of the following:
